§ Lieut.-Colonel Schofieldasked the Minister of Supply if he will give instructions that on all tenders invited by his Department for the purchase of cotton textile goods, it shall be clearly stated that all such goods shall be spun, woven, and finished in the United Kingdom.
§ Mr. Selwyn LloydIn my view, it is not advisable to make home production a condition of all tenders for cotton textile goods. But, in the case of large tenders for such goods, it is the practice of the Ministry of Supply to ascertain where the various processes of manufacture will be undertaken.
