85. Mr. Dugdale

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether the Government of Kenya have now considered increasing the security forces by recruiting Asians and Africans for the Kenya Regiment.

Mr. Hopkinson

Asians and Africans are already serving with the security forces, and the Government of Kenya do not consider there would be any advantage in amending the Kenya Regiment Ordinance to allow them to be recruited into it.
