§ 71. Mr. Hannanasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he is aware of the dissatisfaction among headmasters and local education authorities about the school-leaving record as presently issued; and whether he will withdraw it and substitute a more satisfactory certificate.
§ Mr. J. StuartYes. The record was introduced for an experimental period but has not proved as useful as was hoped, and I shall shortly be considering, after consultation with the educational bodies concerned, what, if any, form of leaving record should replace it.
