Johnsonasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what payments from liquidated Japanese assets have been made to former Japanese prisoners of war who were members of the Singapore local forces, for example, Straits Settlements Volunteer Force; and whether he is satisfied that these payments are adequate.
§ Mr. Lennox-BoydAssets made available to Singapore under Article 14 of the Japanese Peace Treaty are not being distributed individually to former Japanese prisoners of war. They have for the most part been credited to the Malayan War Damage Fund.
