Mr. Patrick Maitland

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how the number of chemist shops or branches of chemist shops per 1,000 head of population, and per acre built-up, compares in Hamilton, Paisley, Lanark and East Kilbride.

The number of chemist shops (including branches) per 1,000 resident population is 0.27 in Hamilton, 0.36 in Paisley, 0.63 in Lanark and 0.25 in East Kilbride. Numbers per built-up acre are not available.
