§ Miss HorsbrughI sanctioned, in 1952, a proposal made by the West Ham authority to provide a Civil Defence control centre beneath a proposed extension to the secondary technical school for girls, after being assured that there was no suitable alternative site. The centre, which is now being built, is designed so as to be entirely separate and self-contained.
