asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he will make a statement following his official visit to Nyasaland.

49. Mr. Alport

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he has any statement to make on the decisions reached with regard to the land problem in Nyasaland during his recent official visit to the Protectorate.

55. Mr. Sorensen

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he will now make a statement in respect of his visit to Nyasaland and proposals arising therefrom.

My right hon. Friend had intended making a statement today but was required to be in attendance upon Her Majesty The Queen at the Mansion House. He hopes to be able to make the statement on Monday, 24th May.
