HC Deb 07 May 1954 vol 527 c44W
Mr. Hale

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what advice and instruction is being made available as to the course to be taken by a survivor of a thermo-nuclear attack believed to be suffering from radio activity or other serious effects of the attack.

Sir D. Maxwell Fyfe

Persons who became casualties after such an attack, whether from radiation sickness or any other cause, would, if they were able to act on their own behalf, follow the instructions that were given to them, at the time, by appropriate members of the Civil Defence services.
