HC Deb 11 March 1954 vol 524 c183W
Mr. J. Johnson

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies which of the recommendations of the Nicholas Report on Secondary Education in Maritius have so far been implemented; which are to be implemented; and upon which no action is to be taken.

Mr. J. Foster

The main recommendations in the Nichols Report, except that relating to a system of senior schools, are being generally implemented as time and money permit. If the hon. Member desires more detailed information on any specific points, my right hon. Friend will toe happy to arrange for this to be sent him after consultation with the Officer Administering the Government of Mauritius.
