§ Major Lloyd GeorgeTwo samples of the orange juice concentrate being offered by my Department for sale through the trade for food manufacturing purposes have been examined by the Government Chemist and have been found to contain 0.2 and 1.0 parts per million of lead. There is at present no statutory limit on lead content, but these figures are well within the general limit of two parts per million recommended by the Food Standards Committee.
