asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs why Florahin Ahmed was removed from the Governor-General's Commission of the Sudan.

The circumstances in which the composition of the Governor-General's Commission was changed were explained to the House in my right hon. and learned Friend's reply to my hon. Friend the Member for Derbyshire, West (Mr. E. Wakefield) on 10th May. Sayed Ibrahim Ahmed was the supporter of the pro-Independence Party referred to in that reply.
