Mr. Morleyasked the Minister of Education how many local education authorities have made application for a supplementary allocation for minor capital projects under her Department's letter, G.892/11/1/2; and what are the names of those authorities which have had their request granted in full, those which have had their request granted in part and those whose request has been refused, respectively.
§ Miss HorsbrughRequest for supplementary allocations for this purpose were received from 102 out of 146 education authorities in England and Wales. Of these requests 14 were met in full, 81 in part, and seven refused on the ground that the authority's basic allocation was sufficient to meet their immediately urgent needs. I am writing to the hon. Member to give him the information asked for in the last part of the Question.
