§ 52. Mrs. Mannasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he has now replied to the representations made to him by Coatbridge Town Council concerning the Monkland Canal.
§ Mr. J. StuartInvestigation of a similar problem in Glasgow showed conclusively that the only effective way of preventing drowning accidents in this canal is to fill it in. That is a matter for consideration by the British Transport Commission, the town council and any other interests concerned. I am bringing the town council's representations to the commission's notice.
