asked the Minister of Education how many additional special school places have been provided for educationally sub-normal children during the past year both in the country generally and in the county of Chester in particular.

During 1953, 1,134 new special school places for educationally sub-normal children were provided in England and Wales. None of these were for children in the city of Chester or the county of Cheshire.
