asked the Minister of Education the number of children on the rolls in the schools under her jurisdiction for 1950, 1951, 1952 and 1953, respectively; and the estimated numbers for 1954, 1955, 1956, 1957, 1958, 1959 and 1960, respectively.

The latest available figures and estimates are set out on page 6 of my Department's Annual Report for 1952 with the modification that the actual number of children in January, 1953 was greater by 11,000 than the figure there estimated. The actual figure for January, 1954, will not be available until next June.
