§ Miss Hornsby-SmithThirty-seven health authorities in England and Wales have not provided occupation centres. Local health authorities are not bound to provide centres and these are not the only means of providing training. According to my Department's records, only 18 local health authorities have made no formal provision for the training of defectives.
