§ Mr. MarplesTotal rates for England and Wales for the current year are estimated at £378 millions. Figures in the form requested in the last part of the Question cannot be given; but the back of every rate demand note gives an analysis of the local levy and the annual publication "Local Government Financial Statistics" summarises nationally the expenditure and income specifically attributable to each of the 30 or more principal local government services.
