HC Deb 10 February 1954 vol 523 cc124-5W
65. Mr. Bing

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will make a statement upon the progress of the Berlin Conference.

Mr. Selwyn Lloyd

No.

66. Mr. Bing

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will take steps to raise at the Berlin Conference methods of improving and in creasing East-West trade.

Mr. Selwyn Lloyd

The Berlin Conference is not primarily concerned with trade matters and there are of course already fully adequate channels for handling questions of Anglo-Soviet trade. My right hon. Friend is, however, well aware of the importance of this matter.
