105. Mr. Stokes

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General the area and estimated value of the piece of land belonging to the Crown now occupied by the ruins of a church and rectory on Christ-church Green, Victoria Street, on which it is proposed to erect a telephone exchange.

As regards the area of this land may I refer the right hon. Member to the answer I gave him on 16th December last. The land does not yetbelong to the Crown. It is not customary to disclose the advice received on land values.
