§ Mr. BirchSo far as residential accommodation held by local authorities is concerned, I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply given by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Housing and Local Government on 23rd November. Three hundred and twenty-two buildings used for offices and 128 for residential purposes were held on requisition by other Departments on 30th September, 1954. The number of requests for release by owners for resumption of residential use was 20 in each case.
