asked the Secretary of State for War to reconsider the proposal to disband the 2nd Battalion of the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, in view of the particular historical associations of this regiment with Ulster since 1688.

I am very sorry to see this and the other battalions go, but I cannot reconsider the decision.
