§ 71. Lieut.-Colonel Liptonasked the Attorney-General the legal proceedings on which it is hoped to test the validity of the decision of the Court of Appeal in the case of Morelle Limited versus Waterworth; when such proceedings are to be heard; and who are the parties thereto.
The Attorney-GeneralIt is expected that legal proceedings will be instituted shortly; all possible steps will be taken to ensure a speedy trial; I expect that I shall be the defendant. The hon. and gallant Member will, however, be aware that the hearing of another case now before the courts has been adjourned in order that the Crown may appear asamicus curiae; I am considering intervening in this case.
