§ Mr. TurtonNo financial assistance has at any time been granted by Her Majesty's Government for services rendered at the time of Ethiopian Liberation in 1942. Under Article IV of the Anglo-Ethiopian Agreement of 31st January, 1942, Her Majesty's Government agreed98W to contribute certain sums as financial assistance to the Emperor in re-establishing his Administration. Over £3 million were paid by December, 1944, when contributions ceased, in accordance with the provisions of Article IV of the Agreement.
