§ Mr. H. BrookeAs I stated in reply to my hon. and gallant Friend the Member for Renfrew, East (Sir G. Lloyd) on 4th November, no date has been fixed for winding up the War Damage Commission. It is still paying out substantial amounts in compensation, expected to total £28 million in 1954–55, and £21 million in 1955–56.
