Mr. Hamilton

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many one-, two-, three-, four- and five-apartment houses were provided by local authorities between 31st March and 30th September, 1953.

Of 21,309 local authority houses approved during the period in question, 1,090, or 5.1 per cent., were of one and two apartments; 11,008, or 51.7 per cent., were of three-apartments; 8,586, or 40.3 per cent., were of four apartments; and 625, or 2.9 per cent., were of five or more apartments.
