HC Deb 27 October 1953 vol 518 c356W
Mr. Grimond

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what depth of water was expected at the Linkhouse Pier at Mid-Yell.

Mr. J. Stuart

I understand that the report of the consulting engineer engaged on this pier visualised a depth of 10 feet at low water ordinary spring tides.

Mr. Grimond

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what steps are being taken to ensure that the ship "Earl of Zetland" can reach the Linkshouse Pier at all states of normal tides.

Mr. J. Stuart

I have received no further proposals from the county council in connection with this pier.
