DugdaleThe Essex River Board have asked for a works authorisation under the Coastal Flooding (Emergency Provisions) Act, 1953, to dam certain tidal creeks on the River Crouch and the River Roach. My right hon. Friend280W the Minister of Transport and I are considering representations from the Essex Farmers' Union and other interested parties, including a suggestion for a public local inquiry, and hope to reach a decision soon.
