§ 62. Mr. Hurdasked the Minister of Agriculture what further discussions he is holding on the problems of fat stock marketing following the proposals put forward by the National Farmers' Union to combine price and stability for producers with freedom of market for butchers.
§ Sir T. DugdaleThe Government are examining urgently, in consultation with the National Farmers' Unions and the distributive interests concerned, the future arrangements for the marketing of fatstock and implementing the guarantees to producers, when a final decision has been taken on derationing. Account will be taken of the most recent proposals put forward by the N.F.Us. which have already been discussed with them and I hope to be able to make a definite statement before very long.
