HC Deb 26 November 1953 vol 521 c65W
26. Sir W. Wakefield

asked the Minister of Agriculture the reason for the appointment of nine more land commissioners, main grade, three architects, main grade and four architects, recruitment grade, in the land division, in excess of the number employed in 1952–53.

Mr. Nugent

The actual increases in these grades have been six land commissioners, main grade, one architect, main grade and six architects, recruitment grade. The appointments were made because suitable candidates became available to fill vacant posts in the approved complement.
