Maxwell FyfeThe Commissioner of Police informs me that Metropolitan police officers are not ordinarily 191W required to wear helmets when they are employed on indoor duties, for example in police stations; but that the helmet, which is part of police uniform, is worn when officers are on duty in public places whether indoors or out.
