The Secretary of State for Scotland and I have now appointed the Historic Buildings Council for Scotland. As I informed my hon. Friend the Member for Aberdeenshire, West (Mr. Spence), on 27th October, Lord Dundee has consented to serve as Chairman of the Council.

The members, who have all been appointed in a personal capacity and not as representatives of organisations, are: The Countess of Haddington, Sir John D. Imrie, the hon. and learned Member for Paisley (Mr. D. Johnston), Mr. Ian G. Lindsay, Professor Robert H. Matthew, Lord Polwarth and Mr. A. A. Templeton.
