asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation why driving licences are not issued to those coming from Northern Ireland to Great Britain for permanent residence on the same conditions as for those coming from Eire.

Mr. Lennox-Boyd

In general, persons coming from Northern Ireland naturally receive at least as favourable treatment as those from Eire. I should be glad to look into any specific points which my hon. Friend has in mind.
