HC Deb 09 November 1953 vol 520 c16W
Mr. Remnant

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what authorities and bodies are consulted before his approval is given in county development plans to areas for housing and other purposes.

Mr. H. Macmillan

In the course of preparing their development plans, planning authorities consult all Government Departments concerned, local authorities, statutory undertakers, trade associations; and any other interests which might be affected. Following submission of the plan to me, it is open to anyone to object to any of its provisions and, if necesary, I arrange for a public local inquiry. All interested Government Departments are also consulted.
