HC Deb 04 May 1953 vol 515 cc3-4W
54. Mr. Gibson

asked the Minister of Transport whether he will give an assurance that the Committee appointed to inquire into the operations of the London Transport Executive will take evidence from such bodies as the trade unions, Greater London local authorities and other organisations concerned with the use of London passenger transport.

Mr. Lennox-Boyd

I have no doubt that the Committee will be ready and indeed anxious to hear evidence from any responsible bodies which will help them in the discharge of their task, but I do not think that I ought at this stage give any binding assurances on behalf of the Committee as to the bodies from whom they will wish to receive representations.
