Mr. Malcolm MacPherson

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland, for each year since the Act became operative, how many applications have been made by local authorities and by private owners, respectively, to carry out works of modernisation or improvement under the provisions of the Housing (Scotland) Act, 1949; in how many cases these works have been proceeded with; and what has been the total amount paid out by the Treasury in respect of them.
