asked the Minister of Works whether he will consider a return to the use of the 3½ inch brick in Scotland.

This is primarily a matter for the brickmakers and the building industry in Scotland. My information is that the adoption of the standard 2⅞ inch brick in Scotland has been fully justified by results.
