asked the Minister of Education the average cost per school meal in England in 1946, 1948, 1950 and 1952.

57. Mr. Sorensen

asked the Minister of Education what information she has obtained in respect of the decline in the number of meals served to school children and the number of parents who have applied for assistance to meet the increased charge.

64. Mr. Chetwynd

asked the Minister of Education the percentage decline in the number of schoolchildren receiving school meals on payment since the recent increase in price; and whether she will give separate figures for London, New-castle-on-Tyne, Stockton-on-Tees and Warwickshire.

I have no information on these points. I am asking local education authorities to let me know the numbers of school dinners provided on a day in June.
