100. Mr. Simmons

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he will state the amount of the 100 per cent. disability pension in payment to Nigerian limbless ex-Service men and the rate of constant attendance allowance to the more severely disabled.

Mr. Lyttelton

The monthly rate of pension payable in Nigeria in respect of a 100 per cent. war disability ranges from 60s. in the case of a private to 97s. 6d. for a regimental sergeant major. I have no information about the payment of a constant attendance allowance, but I am making inquiries of the Governor and will inform the hon. Member when I have received his report.
