§ 81. Mrs. Braddockasked the Minister of Agriculture the landings of fish by British trawlers from Icelandic waters for January 1951, 1952 and 1953, respectively.
§ Sir T. DugdaleIn January 1951, 1952 and 1953, the landings were 78,978 cwt. 19,093 cwt. and 88,649 cwt., respectively. Catches vary between one time or season and another according to natural fluctuations in fish stocks, intensity of fishing, and the weather. The small landings in January, 1952, were due mainly to exceptionally bad weather off Iceland.
