HC Deb 05 March 1953 vol 512 cc53-4W
54. Mr. Longden

asked the Minister of Education what measures have been taken, or will be taken, during 1953 to facilitate the exchange of professors, teachers and students, between universities and schools of the United Kingdom and those of other members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation.

Miss Horsbrugh

Arrangements for the exchange of teachers between this country and a number of other countries including countries which are members of the Organisation exist already and I am sending my hon. Friend a copy of the administrative memorandum setting out details for 1953–4. Similar arrangements for linking of schools, school correspondence and exchanges of visits have for long been encouraged. University exchanges are not my responsibility.
