asked the President of the Board of Trade how many factories there are in Scotland, built in part or wholly from public funds, which are unoccupied or will shortly be available; and where such factory space is located.

At present two publicly financed factories at Port Glasgow, one at Chapelhall and one at Newhouse are unoccupied. In addition, one factory at Newhouse and part of one at Dundee will be vacated shortly.
