§ Mr. J. FosterAs a result of Governmental discussions which took place in 1951, the United Kingdom—Australia Assisted Passage Scheme was extended to the end of March, 1954. The scheme of assisted migration to New Zealand operates at the expense of and to the extent desired by the New Zealand Government. In the circumstances, there has been no recent occasion for discussions of the kind referred to by the hon. Member.
