HC Deb 04 March 1953 vol 512 c35W
64. Mr. Bottomley

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether he is now in a position to make a statement about the future use of the Royal Marine Barracks, Chatham.

Mr. J. P. L. Thomas

I am glad to be able to say that, subject to settlement of the terms of transfer, it is hoped to conclude an early agreement for the handing over of the Medway Barracks to the War Office with a view to their occupation, in due course, by an Army unit.
