asked the First Lord of the Admiralty the qualifications of those who form the special Admiralty interview boards.

I understand that the hon. Member is referring to the boards which interview ratings who wish to go to London University as midshipmen, R.N.V.R., for advanced training in the Russian language. The boards are required to assess whether or not candidates are likely to make satisfactory naval officers and members are appointed with this consideration in mind.
