Water Supplies, North Uist and Isle of Barra

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will give the approximate starting date for the water supply scheme for North Uist island; and what the position is regarding the water supply scheme for the northern part of the Isle of Barra.

It is expected that work on the North Uist scheme will start in the late autumn of this year and on the North Barra scheme in the spring of next year.
