asked the Secretary of State for Scotland the income of local authorities, classified according to source, for the years 1949–50, 1950–51 and 1951–52, ended 15th May in each case.

As some local authorities do not receive Exchequer equalisation grant, and as the proportion of expenditure met from the grant varies in the case of those authorities who do receive it, I regret that the information asked for by my hon. and gallant Friend cannot be made available.
