HC Deb 29 June 1953 vol 517 cc3-4W
Mr. Mason

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if the result of the inquiry into the case of the Reverend Samuel Heap, a Protestant missionary, who was attacked in Ubate, Colombia, on 12th April, 1953, is yet at hand; and whether, in view of the concern it has aroused in Barnsley, he will publish the report.

Mr. Nutting

Her Majesty's Government have not yet been informed of the findings of the official investigation which may well have been delayed by the recent change of Government in Colombia. Her Majesty's Ambassador at Bogota has, however, been instructed to make clear to the new Government Her Majesty's Government's keen interest in this matter.
