§ 37. Mr. McAddenasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what restrictions were recently placed on the entry of British newspaper correspondents to Nepal; and what representations on this subject were made to the Nepalese Government by Her Majesty's Ambassador.
§ Mr. NuttingSo far as I am aware, no special restrictions have recently been imposed on the entry of British newspaper correspondents into Nepal. I understand that a number of British journalists were given visas between April and June of this year to cover the Everest expedition after representations had been made by Her Majesty's Ambassador.
§ 38. Mr. McAddenasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what representations, with regard to the Press censorship in Nepal, have been made by Her Majesty's Ambassador.
§ Mr. NuttingI am not aware of any recent Press censorship in Nepal, and no representations on the subject have been made.
