HC Deb 29 June 1953 vol 517 c7W
Sir A. Bossom

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he will give further consideration to the continued loss of good agricultural land which, although small in relation to the total area of the country, is causing concern to agricultural landowners and tenant farmers.

Mr. H. Macmillan

It is our constant aim in developing the housing programme, both to use inferior land, wherever possible, and to use it economically. I am much indebted to the architects and designers who have done so much good work in this direction.
