asked the Minister of Health how many physiotherapists are employed in the National Health Service; and how many of these are members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy or the Faculty of Physiotherapists.

There were 4,178 physiotherapists employed in hospitals in the National Health Service in England and Wales on 31st December, 1952; 3,250 full-time and 928 part-time. I regret that the information required in the second part of the Question is not available.
